G'day fellas,
Just wondering if there is a LAV-PC model out there?
Cheers

By LAV-PC do you mean a LAV Personnel Carrier?
If so, Trumpeter's USMC LAV-25 is quite good. It has a few issues, but is the best on the market.

Hi Gino;
I have Trumpeter's LAV-25 but I haven't built it yet. What 'issues' should I watch out for? I have Eduard's PE set for it and The Barrel Store's metal fluted barrel if that will help...
cheers
Bob

The biggest issue is the rear hull plate is too tall and needs to be sanded down for the roof section to fit. The metal barrel will correct the squared off muzzle brake. The others are omissions. Trumpeter left off the cable cutters on the front glacis. They also left off the barrel for the coax M249 that should stick out of the hole to the right of the barrel on the mantlet. They also left off the M240G from the top mount. Lastly, there should be non-slip coatong on the flat upper surfaces. Other than that, it is a pretty good model.

hey diggers! just tried to send first post! no good! oh well!
i am scratch building a conversion for a ASLAV-PC to fit the Italeri LAV-25 TUA kit #263 as it has the commanders hatch needed to do the conversion! the other bits needed are just Evergreen card and kits from Mousehouse!
any Q's just ask!

The Echelon decal set is purely for the 25 and not the PC. There are a lot of differences between the two. Although there are a lot of the same markings as well.
Stewy, when are we going to see your job????
Dont forget the new RWS mount.
Cheers Jason Miller

Defence Models and Graphics in Australia made conversions for ASLAV variants.
I picked up the ASLAV 25 conversion a few years ago. I don't see the conversions listed on their site anymore...just the fully built display models.
They make some very nice display models of Australian AFVs.
