Hi Jerry. The problem with mail ordering balsa is that the profiles are all 1 meter long. Postage will make this quite expensive. Getting it cutwould be a good idea.
It might be worth trying some DIY shop and seeing what they have for dada rail instead. It will be stronger than the balsa and can be used for frames and the bulk of buildings. For smaller profiles it might be worth looking for a plastruct (or similar) supplier.
I have a local shop that has quite a good supply of balsa at fairly reasonable prices. If your determined to get some, I could help you out. It would only cost you what it´ll cost me! The lengths could be cut in half or thirds, which will make postage more normal. PM me if you want to try this way! Im in Sweden by the way, but with postage its sill going to be expensive balsa.
