Planning to purchase this book since im starting to work on some figures..Can't really find a proper peek of the book anywhere in the web.. so how good is it? does it gives good explanation on face paintings and such?

From a newbies point of wiev I would say it is very good. Similar build up as Migs FAQ, but the techniques are better explained. And yes it has SBS of painting faces with oils, enamels and acrylics.
