Hey all.....just got my copy of the April edition of FSM, an all Vietnam issue.
Some awesome articles in there.....especially the one on the Guntrucks, I know some of you are pretty nuts about this subject, and at first I though maybe our own Guntruck was the contributor of this article....but he lives on the wrong coast!! I believe the article is on making the "Eve of Destruction" Guntruck, as well there is a small sub article on "King Kong" Guntruck that has the M113 body mounted on the back of a 5ton.
In any case....a great overall magazine with some great articles on Vietnam era equipment, in all areas, armor, aircraft, and ships!!!
Go get it if you don't have it already!!!!!

I'm now anxiously awaiting mine as I am a huge fan of Post WWII armor.

Well funny thing is.....the last FSM said that the new one wouldn't be on newsstands until March 5th......so I wasn't really looking for it as I browsed the magazines at my local Chapters store.....and viola, there it was!! I think Chapters screwed up and put it out on the rack before they were supposed to.....which is good for me!!!

I got mine in the mail today (April 2003). Has a false cover that protects the magazine and is an offer for a Warbird Modeling for $6. Neat article.

Mine was waiting for me when I came in from work today.
I too thought of our own resident Gun Trucker - Gunnie!
Be sure to read the "History You Can Model" on the last page. Great story.

Haven't seen the issue of FSM yet - but that would not be me - as I haven't submitted anything for publication in a magazine. My last FSM "appearance" was in Great Scale Models 2003
However - I am in the working stages of a modeling publication on GunTrucks. That, if it is a successful venture, will not appear in FSM, but be a standalone modeling book...

Gunnie, you should take pre-orders. You could make a mint.
Seriously, the book sounds like a great idea. I know I'd buy a copy.

WOW thanks for the encouragement guys!
I've been dragging my feet on the idea because I thought no one would be interested. Now, I'm talking with some of my peers and "contest runnin buddies" to put master class models and notes into the project. FSM is nice for the skill level it caters to, but I want this idea to blossom as both a tool for the range of novice to master modelers - with photos and notes equalling this concept.

Gunnie, I'd also be interested in the book m :-) Haven't done any post WWII stuff yet, but that would probably get started on something, which would mean I would need another shelf or two in the ol' model stash... what the heck, FULL SPEED AHEAD!
