I had done this a while back. It is a kit bash of the Tamiya M4 and M4A3 105mm

Parts were a drop fit and fun to do

Looks nice Steve! I have the exact same project on my workbench. It's one of my set-aside projects though. One thing I noticed about your kit is that the grouser box vents seem to be too proud of the engine deck corners. Simple solution however. Just sand off about 1mm. have a look here:



You see that the vent lower rim sits above the plate but not too much. HTH

Great work. It really motivates me to get off my duff with this "shelf queen"!!!!

Also, the upper hull tail plate on the M4 is not the same angle as the M4A3. It should be nearer to vertical.

Good catch Gerald. I forgot about the hassles of replacing the rear bulkhead.

Thanks for feedback, I wondered about the rear plate. I could not find any photos in my references.

One day I will start on my DML Shermans, but right now the Tamiya kits have just the right amount of parts and the fit is great
