Hello everyone!!
Just wondering if there are any militaries currently using the M-48 as their MBT. I have done a google search and nothing turned up but the usual M-48's in service with Korea and Tawain. I know M-48's were sold in large numbers to countries like Turkey and Greece but does anyone have any reference or knowledge of this tank having been sold off to other maybe smaller countries?
Thank you in advance!!!

Patton Mania has a blurb about foreign use of the M48. I am not sure how up-to-date the information is though.

Thailand still uses M48A5's. They were seen during last year's coup. The Greeks also use the M48A5 in dwindling numbers.

Aloha once again!
Thanks guys for the info. One of the most frustrating thing is the lack of "current" information out there on whatever happened to all those old and forgotten M-48A5's. Maybe the answer is that they truly were turned into scrap metal eh? Thanks again guys for the info!

A number have been sunk in the ocean as artificial reefs around the US coast.

Hey guys,
If you haven't seen the video, I'm not sure where to find it now, but it's pretty amazing to see 50+ tons of tank rolling off of a barge and splashing into the sea.:-)
Cheers
