I was just wondering if the MM Skin tones are something "other" than enamels, or if they have a secret formula developed at NASA. They smell, "funny" I mean, different than all the other MM stuff. I use them, and like them alot, just curious.

I had also noticed that, I use the light, dark and warm. I also noticed they are thicker than the normal acryl stuff...Is yours?

Yes, much thicker. I actually had big globs of settled pigment that needed to be mixed in. The consistency of the mixed paint is like runny white glue. I mix it with a little Testors brush cleaner before I paint and it smooths out and covers very nicely.

For what it's worth, The bottles of MM Skin tones I bought here in Canada are very thin (like their other enamels) and smell just like all their other MM enamels. I don't think their formulation would change from country to country as they just apply a bilingual (english and french) label over top of their US labels.

I haven't noticed the smell but for some reason flesh tones to me always seem thicker than other colors. No idea why.
