Take a look to the left side of your computer screen. In the Main Menu, there is a link to the Campaigns Page. You can see what's currently going on there. Jim did a really nice job setting this up. This separates the Campaign a bit from the Group Build. They're "sponsored" by Site Members and have participation conditions established.
Group Builds are happening all over the Site - and - in every genre. They're wide open, just jump in where you like. These too have participations conditions, but more often started with a simple idea that got carried into a full-blown exercise. They don't always have "awards" or offers of ribbons to winners - but are just as fun.
The common theme in both is to have fun and participate!

Gunnie,
Thanks. But I have really only just started with that module. Some stuff I will add are:
1. Ability to join a campaign with a list of campaign members.
2. Ability for members to enter info about their work. Image location (URL), journal style record of project.
3. Displays campaign ribbon and allows campaign leader to award ribbons based on the completion of the campaign requirements.
:)
