Hi guys,
I want to model a turret very similar to this one. I'm hoping to find more pictures with better angles. Any info out there? I know it's a shortsighted picture.

Thanks in advance,

Cuhail

Hey Murph,
The turret like like the one found on the AAVP7A1...Upgunned Weapon Station. I happen to have a line drawing that I will send you.

Thanks Joe! I got your e-mail and PM. The line drawing looks like the best bet as a reference. The vehicle ID helps me search for other images as well!

You rock, my brother named after my Mother!

Verlinden had that as a 1/35 mod a few years ago. Don't know if it's still out there, though.

Hey Joe, when you get to this part in your build, can ya take extra pictures and really document well so I can totally scratch that out? I'm actually tempted to just buy the AAVP7A1 just for that gun setup. Since I have the two weapons, I might as well give SBing it a shot.

Daunting, to say the least.

You could also pick up the Trumpeter version cheap and use that turret. It is a ok copy of the Tamiya kit, and the Trumpy kits go for a fair sight less...

Hi Cuhail,

You could always ask others on the forum as in the Tamiya model you used to get both the older pattern as well as the UGWS version. I used mine, adding the spare old version to my spares box, but somebody might have wished to build the older version and have this one laying about. The problem is in that the kit is discontinued so you may have to search, but they are sometimes found on EBay.

Murph I just traced the parts of the turret on paper for you, if you'd like I can snail mail them to you. I'll also email you photos of it also. Send me a PM w/ address.

Thanks Frenchy. Joe sent me that one plus a couple more (Joe Rocks!) and He also has that one on his AAVP7A1 thread. I'm just waiting for the cut patterns he's sending me.
John Murkutt had the best idea. Troll around for someone who built the model with the old style weapon station and try to finagle the new one out of him, but, I really kinda wanna try SBing it.

Thanks all,
Cuhail
