Very nice pics of V150s with urban camo.
May I ask a few questions,please?
1)What is the difference between V100 & V150?
2)Is it possible to apply the urban camo on V100 too?Any pics if so?...Wanna see some markings.
Thanks.

The V150 was an improved and updated V100. It had a new drive train and interior components. Externally, they look pretty much the same.

V100 driver had a single trapezoid vision block in front of him and there was another identical block on "passenger" side. Between them was a pistol port with a cover. The armor plate on which these parts were installed was flat.
In V150 driver has two vision blocks and pistol port was cancelled. Armor plate is no longer flat, as driver's vision blocks are installed in
triangular extension protruding at the front of plate.

There are other differences, like the shape of the hatch at the rear of upper hull plate (rectangle in V100 and circle in V150).

Most common configuration of V100 used Cadillac Gage T50 turret, which I believe was never used on V150.

As I said, they look pretty much the same externally. Vision blocks and armor placement is pretty minor if you ask me. The basic hull and layout remained the same.

There were various turrets that could be used on either version. The US Army only used the V100 with the T-50 turret, called the M706. Many other nations used different versions.

Sure, but when the question is "what is the difference?", the reply "they look pretty much the same" does not seem to be the right one if there actually are differences, even if minor.

Sure thing. US Army never used V150 as far as I know, so I meant other nations' V150s. I saw them with various turrets and cupolas, but only photo of V150 with T50 I found was in Cadillac Gage V100 product brochure. This means that if a vehicle on any picture has T50 turret, it is most likely V100, although obviously technically the turret could have also been mounted on V150.

No, T50 is a small turret with two machine guns (usually) as used also on Australian M113s. Here are some photos of V100 with T50: http://www.primeportal.net/apc/brent_sauer/v-100_commando/.

I don't know much about PMC V150, so I can't sugget any modifications needed to VP kit.

The biggest question is: Why is the V100/V150 not in plastic yet? While we little folk can ony dream of buying a $50-100 resin kit.

Someone in the plastic department must be sleeping. But oh well. I still have what? 40 kits to go?

main page

PMC V150

This is mostly Philippine Marine Corps. On the main page, army versions may be available. It's widely used by the Philippine Military and Police paramilitary.

In Action. With close up of a V150 penetrated by small arms fire. They say this is the vehicle driven by a soldier who fought on the other side of the coup. The one who killed him was his brother who fought for the government side.

Thanks RD,I really appreciate it.
It looks to be a simple conversion with a few modifications on a Tamiya AAVPT7/UGWS + VP V150 commando car.
The urban camo is a must for the project.

Good luck. If you're doing the urban camo of the AFP PMC/PSG, tell me. You'll have to go for the reference pix for the color and pattern. The exact color chips are not available. No matter how many times I ask a military friend of mine. They won't tell. But note, when I personally saw some of these vehicles, the shades look lighter.

Then you'll need help on decals, because there are none available commerically. I may have some I made.

The urban camo is used by both Phil. Marine Corps and Presidential Security Group, though they will have different decal markings.

Keep us updated with your build. If I could afford the kit I would've done one myself. Also you could get a lot more info about the V100-150 here. Just ask around. Everyone speaks English.
