In case I can't find any Tamiya M1A2 tracks to replaced my messed up Dragon AIM tracks, can anyone tell me if the AFV Club M1A2 tracks are any good? My local shop has two sets of them and I need to know if I should get them or continue to wait for the Tamiya track.
Sorry, I'm not a big fan of individual links. I know I know, that's blasphemy.

Yes, they are good tracks. They come out looking great.
If you are not a fan of ind-link tracks, they will probably drive you nuts though. They are in more pieces than the Dragon AIM ones. The end connectors are separate pieces as well. You have to build each track out of 3 pieces, not just glue them together.
Your call.

I highly recommend that you go with Gino's recommendation if you can not find some rubberband T-158 track. The AFV Club T-158 is a bit fiddly but looks better and is actually easier in the long run to put together than the so called "Magic Track". I ended up using a set of AFV Club track that I had in my stash for my Panther II and it looks great. I would like to find some ATM T-158 and T-156 to see if they are similar to the AFV 158 or the Leo II Diehl track.

I absolutely LOVE the AFV club tracks - I bought extra sets for a Tamiya M1A2 and my new Dragon M1A1 after trying them on an earlier Dragon M1A1. Don't cut the end connectors off the sprue before you plug them onto the tracks themselves and you'll be amazed at how quickly the tracks click together. I'm no good at assembling the fiddley 'Magic' tracks but I got a great result from the AFV Club tracks. Oh, and I didn't use a drop of glue on them - they hold together very nicely by themselves.

I went ahead and got these, and wow! These were incredibly easy to use and a hell of a bargain. Spent this weekend putting them together and painting the. Far better than those "magic track" and a lot better looking. I'm hooked if all of the AFV Club track is this good.
