The Centura dozer didn't enter service until April 45. It was built on the redundant AA tanks hull. Does anyone have any pics of this vehicle actually in use?

They were issued to 87 Assault Sqn RE who at that time were part of 79th Armd Div.

I know they were used in Korea and the Suez crisis but would like to model one in NWE.

Cheers

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for that. I'll check out IWM site and see if I can track any down. I think I can get away using the vehicle at wars end, clearing rubble and that sort of stuff.

Cheers

Great! Show us when you get it started, I'd really like to see it! I've always been interested in Hobart's Funnies, especially the Churchill AVRE with a bobbin.

Not many interest in kits like those but they continue to pump out Tiger I and Sherman kits!

Hi Jeff,

Will do - I'm partial to the Shermans myself lol, lol. Like to do an AVRE, Flail and Dozer some time and I have an M32 BI that's long over due starting.

I've been holding off doing any of the Churchills on the remote chance that an upgraded version might come along. If not this year then I'll probably go with what's available next year. They are really interesting vehicles.

Have the Centaur dozer and the Cromwell AVR in mind. AA do conversion kits for both.

It a grand time for allied modellers, some interesting new kits coming along - time is the problem lol, lol.

Have you seen the new Humber Box form AA? Another interesting vehicle.

I'm about to start the Austin Tilly, my first complete resion build - a neat little kit, got it cheap in the widows sale.

Thanks again.

Hey Alan!

While we're speaking of Centaur and Cromwell conversions, does anyone offer a kit to make the FV 4101 Charioteer tank destroyer? I was doing a little searching on the net and found a picture of it.

Pretty awesome!
