Recently won an auction for some old Italaerei kits. Yep, from when they still spelled it Italaerei. #:-) Still in the original wrap and boxes from the 70's. I did open them up, and what a blast from the past! Reminds me of the day! #:-)
I was wondering what anyone could tell me about these kits, How good are they and is there any AM or PE out there?
The kits are...
German Marder III kit # 210
German PzKpfw 38 (t) kit # 212
Italian Fiat-Ansaldo M40-75/18 kit # 214
Any info would be cool, Thanks
On Edit: The kits look as if they come with partial interiors... Driver's seats, etc. Any way to build this up? Scratch build or AM? Any sources?

All three are still re-issued on occasion. The have also been re-boxed by Revell of Germany in the 1970s. The Marder III and PzKpfw 38(t) share a common lower hull and running gear. The Italian tank is superior to the one by Tamiya. Eduard makes PE for the them still, and Maquette makes single link tracks for the 38(t) chassisied vehicles. Decent kits typical of Italeri 1970s vintage when they did some of their best stuff. Keep in mind that these kits are pushing 30 years old, so it is not fair comparing them to 2000+ releases.
