If you liked
2 Year Tour and loved
Scenes from Iraq then you are really gonna love
Our Man in IraqPat Brown has been given an all expenses paid trip to everyones favorite sandbox and he took his camera along. Now Pat is a bit of an armor builder so most of the photos tend to display vehicles. In fact, he seems to really like the details so if you wanted to know what a road wheel off a T-62 looks like or that cotter pin on the skirts of an Abrams or even details of the Stryker, then he has taken a picture for you.
Here are a few (very few) of the 800 pics now posted on our site. Stop by and check them all out if you have the time.

Hi Charles
They are called "60k Tunner Material Handling Equipment (MHE)". They are built by Systems & Electronics Inc.

You kinda read my mind there

That's one of the reasons I asked.

The battle damage pics are really telling!
It appears that the fighting compartments on all but a couple of the vehicles have not been penetrated. The penetrations that i saw were on a hummvee and what appeared to be a Cadilac-Gage security vehicle, both relatively lightly amoured.
Any idea what actually got the M1's and Bradley's? Several showed lot's of fire damage but only one bradley seemed to have had clear damage throughout. It aslmost appears that it ran over a mine or IED and took a hit in the belly - remiscent of the old Shermans.
One Bradley showed that it had deployed its reactive armour. the reactive armour appears to have worked well.
All-in-all, it looks like the equipment is doing a pretty good job.
