Let's all share a moment of silence in loving memory of our Home Front list.
But that means we operate in stealth mode again. No, I am NOT online at this time.
Yeehaaa !

Here now, gone tomorrow...story of my life #:-) It is better to have experienced Front Gate and lost it than to have not experienced it at all.

I think Jim said the front gate AND the mess hall would both be back up as soon as we get the new server with the RAID bcakup. I do look forward to that.

The site was out-of-memory again this morning and I think the culprit was the "new improved" front gate. I guess I didn't improve it enough.
I will try to look at some data caching in the interim between now and getting the site up on the new server. That should do the trick as it will mean the database is not constantly getting hit everytime someone changes pages. Hmm...that gives me an idea. I bet if I move the current Front-gate to the right side (where it will mostly only show up on the homepage) that it wouldn't be using up our memory as much. I might try that as an experiment.
