You have to be greatful that Academy is bringing out a line of M-3s and M-5s ,but watch yourself with the M-3a1..Academy is trying to get as much out of the molds as they can ...If you build the kit straight out of the box it is not a true M-3a1 but an M-3 hybrid...I know you must be thinking what the H_LL!! With the decals that are supplied in the box you can only do the Russian ones as the rest of the decals are for real M-3a1s...Whats the difference you ask ...Well if you leave the hull the way it is then the interior is not right ...(no turret basket) ..therefore stowage would be the same as original M-3s. If you want to do a real M-3a1, you have some rivets to remove and the back end is rounded off...This sounds harder than it is but still not for the faint of heart..lol. I would sujest going to the Missing Links Allied section and type in M-3a1 in the search ..Steve Zaloga answered a few questions on what to do..Worth taking a second to look thru ...I still love these M-3 kits and they are a fun build.
