You may want to check out Historicus Forma as figures are their specialty.
There feature section seems to have a number of articles that may help you.

No problem. You can also check other sites such as missing-lynx or planetfigure for other articles, but it seems to be a matter of trying different methods until you find one that works for you. Then you practice repeatedly until it gets better.
