The properties of an image file are not always visible. When you right click the image select properties from the menu.
Make sure you highlight the entire address line. Click the very start and drag your mouse pointer down to capture all of it. The right click and copy and then paste it into the correct box on your account page.
Another thought is that if you have to images with the same name on your web hosting site the 'software' can't handle that. This happened to me and I just removed one of the images and it was fine.

Are you saving it as a .bmp or .jpg file? bmp's use up a lot of space, and another thing is if you have spaces between words they won't download at all...

From what I can tell, the URL for your sig image reads
Code:
If my guess is correct, all you need is:
http://www.britishpaintbox.co.uk/images/british_paintbox_link_2.gif
No need for the "img" tags here.
Hope that helps! :-)

PS - Looks spiffy! :-)

It's there to stay, as long as the original banner remains on the web location where you put it, and as long as you don't fiddle with the link you put on your "my account"' page. Cool banner, btw. I consider to try my skills on making a moving .gif banner, too... :-)
