Hello guys, I think this is the first time I post some pics of a figure I've painted with oils. It's a Dragon figure old style. I've done my best and used reference pictures for the colours but I'm sure you can give me some advice to improve my figure painting. I still need to finish the hands.
So just tell me friends :

Hi Guy.
By the looks of your fig, it should be you giving me a few tips on how to paint and not the other way around
Although you might want to give the black front part of the cap just a tad more shine ( gloss?).
But, hey,...that´s just me. And by the way, what oil brand did you use?
Keep up the, very, very, good work.

Cheers from Sweden /

Chris

Wow Christian, that's a fast reaction ! You're right about the cap, I did it after I made the pics. So that's a very good remark. I use oil paint from Talens (Rembrandt and Van Gogh), Winsor and Newton. Thanks for your reaction ! Greetz, Guy

Nice work. Glad to see somebody still using oils. These are what I cut my teeth on when I started painting figures. Lord knows its been far too long since I painted some smaller scale stuff. Maybe this is the inspiration I need to get going on some once again. Good work. Thanks for sharing it. "Q"

Jerry : I used ultramarine blue, yellow ocre, raw ocre, and white for the trousers. In the folds I also used a just a little bit of black to darken the paint.
Matthew : I'm glad to hear that my figure can give you the inspiration to pick up small scale figs again !
Thanks to you all !!! Guy
