The price is not indifferent... is it a post-1950 subject? I just can't imagine a Sherman (of any kind) with German markings!

Germany did indeed re-use captured Shermans during WWII
but in this case it is a vehicle bought from the US in the fifties,
they were in active use by the Bundeswehr from 1956 to 1960.
It is a postwar vehicle, possibly a few made it over to Europe
before the war ended but .......
