British Shermans were usually just OD, but the fireflies were, due to all the modifications made, painted in british OD Scc 15. I've heard the best color is Tamiya OD mixed with Tamiya Olive GREEN. Haven't tried it myself yet, though I plan to do something along those lines. I even did one in either Modelmaster dark or medium green and then just did a lot of weathering and was happy with the result.
There is a company that has just or is about it come out with what is supposedly a perfect match for British Scc no 15 OD, but I forget the name of the company. It was posted on missing links a week or two ago.
Hope this helps.

White Ensign Models are the company

Olive Drab BS987C SCC No.15(Reference #AR B 19)
If you go ahead with Tamiya then go ahead with Rob's suggestion.

Thanks for bailing me out, Pat! I never would have remembered. To me, with weathering and such, as long as you get close, it doesn't matter much, especially if you factor in things like "scale effect" and the like.
