I have 3 kits underway, and as I usually build out of the box, I have never been interested in AM tracks before. But I built Italeri´s panther"D" and tried the best I could to make the tracks look decent and then the paint started to crack. So I bought a set of fruilmodels tracks for this and was very pleased. Now I feel theres no point in even bothering with the tracks for the other 3 models. The models are as follows ... all Italeri;
M7 Priest, M32 ARV and M4 76mm Sherman. I dont know anything about the AM tracks so all help will be appreciated. What companies make tracks for these 3 kits and what tracks would suit the best? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

For the Shermans series you have AM tracks from Accurate Armour, AFVClub, DML, Fruil., ModelKasten and RHPS at least.

For the type at Sherman Register you have a page Track Types with all the info you need about them.

PB,
I don`t know why I was posted twice,but since I`m back for the third time I just wanted to say that Modelkasten and fruilmodelisimo also make M4 tracks but cost much more. You might have to do a little more cleanup (and filling) with the other three companies but in the end they all look equally good.

Thanks prbesch. I know of these companies and I believe fruil even make Sherman tracks, but I phrased my question wrong. (My fault) I mean that these companies have several types of tracks for Shermans ... but which would be right for these models or as it is Shermans ... which would be more common and when would they have been used?
I havent started painting them yet and I dont want to add decals that would suggest one variant and them have the wrong tracks for that. Hopefully that might make some sense to somebody! Cheers again!

OK Plasticbottle,
The kit items in the Italier boxes are all the T48 type tracks and all the manufacturers mentioned above make them. But check your referances, and like I said before RHPS makes the largest selection, including duckbill end connecters for your 76mm.

Thanks prbesch and Tuga for your help! Thing is... I dont have any references! If possible I want to use all 3 of these kits in a european setting. Would the T48 style be appropriate for them? Im not too bothered on who makes the tracks but want to have the right tracks for the right model!
The decals I have are as follows;
Sherman M4 76mm;
10th Arm. Div.11th. Tank Battalion Compnay B Vehicle 15 (Bonnie) Ardennes 1945.
M7 Priest;
US: 7th Armored Div. Artillery Battailon 434 "A" company Ardennes 1944
M32 ARV;
USA 20418150 (dont know what this serial number belongs to!).
Sorry for asking so much!
