Will the Tamiya M1A2 Big Foor tracks fit the Dragon Panther II Mine Clearing Vehicle? I dont want to mess with the dragon tracks.

Thanks Guys,

Yes, they will fit just fine on it. Pretty much all the current M1A1/A2/M1 Panther II kits on the market can have their tracks interchanged with no fit problems. All will fit the AFV Club indi-link tracks as well with no issues.

It can be true for all those kits except for Dragon M1A1 AIM kit. I'm not entirely sure about M1 Panther II, but I believe Tamiya tracks should fit,as suspension was probably similar to Tamiya kit size-wise. But they don't fit on AIM kit, because this is the first kit with reasonably accurate suspension dimensions (based on official technical drawings) and Tamiya tracks are too short for this kit. I actually still managed to use these tracks on my AIM model, but I had to connect ends of vinyl tracks with a piece of thread. Luckilly it's all hidden behind side skirts

Hey Gary,

It took me quite a while to get used to the magic tracks after a couple of failed attempts. I had never tried indy tracks before. Now I love them. I still dont care for the tracks that you have to clip from the sprue and clean but the magic tracks are great.

If you can't work these, how are even going to put the kit together?

I have no problem with Magic tracks in general, but in this particular case these tracks are not very good. First of all they have end and center connectors molded with links, what doesn't look good around sprocket and idler wheels, as these connectors stick at unnatural angles. And the second problem with M1 Magic tracks is that guide horns are noticeably too small. But I would still have used them on my model, but... my dog chewed two fully assembled and painted tracks ready to attach to the model I even corrected angles of connectors on these tracks. Oh, well... I had to use too short Tamiya tracks instead...

Thanks for all the great responses guys. I don't want to use the magic tracks just out of ease. I have about 6 projects on the bench right now and I don't feel like cleaning up, building, painting and weathering a set of track at this point. The tamiya track is "built" and already black. I'm halfway there. I have nothig against individuale links, I just have too much on my plate right now.

What I hated most is the cleanup of the raised discs...did it in sets of three using a file.

It wasnt that easy for me to drape them on the wheels as well.
