This is Revell- Germany's 1/35th scale Panzer Haubitze 2000. It comes with an Aluminum barrel in addition to the kit plastic one.
Im waiting on the decals, then it will get a couple coats of Dullcote. Then the headlights, taillghts and whoopie lights will be painted.

Looking pretty good so far. I built this one a while back too. It can come out really nice. How are the tracks on yours? Mine had really soft rubber tracks that fell apart a few months after I built it. I had to replace them with Leo 1 tracks, which are not totally correct, but close and the only things that fit it since no one makes AM PzHow 2000 tracks.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Looks good. I haven't checked the tracks on mine to see if they fell apart yet. Better go look...

Looks really good, AJ. Weathering and dry-brushing came out nice. How did you make out on getting new decals ?
Cheers !

Quick question about the 2000 kit's tracks-
Anyone ever figure out just why they break down?
I've looked around, and the only info I've been able to get on any track disintergration (not kit-specific) is one of two things:
1) Enamel paints - I've heard the gluable vinyl doesn't like enamels much, and
2) Alcohol (as a pre-paint cleaner, or thinning of acrylic paints) causes some serious dry-out, leading to failure.
Is it possible that, if I avoid those two situations with my 2000's track, the tracks will remain where they should be?
BTW, Darktrooper - I hope that I can get my 2000 to look as good as yours... excellent build!

I don't know about the tracks, but mine were soft and stretchy even before I painted them. I have never had a problem with enamel paints either. I just think the rubber sucks.

C'mon Gino don't candy coat it. Let us know what you think. I got the same problem with mine. The tracks seem to be melting before my eyes. Must have been a bad batch or something. I'll probably look for some AM replacements that are a close match. "Q" I just think the rubber sucks

I'm going to give the kit tracks a go (I've got a couple of ideas), but I'll keep a set from either AFV Club (the Leopard II tracks) or Trumpeter (from their Italian MBT) on hand - just in case

I built mine soon after they first came out. I used acrylic paint with windshield washer thinner on the tracks. They are still ok. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info, capnjock!
I was thinking about going the acrylic route anyway (the paint's more flexible), so your post gives me a bit of hope
