Hi guys,
Here are a few photos of my other project.
It is a Syrian T-55 (you need something to aim at

)
The kit is from Tamiya's T-55 with Friull tracks, Eduard PE, Tracks wheels, Model piont antenna en Model piont coax. And a few things I made my self

headlight cage is selfmade
The engine deck
Front
Back
side
And the other side
I am going to go for this camo

A Syrian just after the Yom Kipur war
Still have to figure out what colors to use but can't wait to get started on it
Just a few more little things and this one can go for paint.

Looks great. A lot of good details on the one.
I tried to make some new headlight guards myself for a PT-76 project, but they broke apart and I had to resort to making them in plastic. Did you glue or solder yours?
Very cool colour scheme I used that one as well on my Syrian PT-76. You can see the colour scheme in the
tread about my PT-76 project In the pictures the grey seem a little light, in reality it is darker.

Wow, another very cool build you have there. Can't wait to see how the camo will come out. I have this same project waiting in the wings to build but I have never found a good enough representation of the camo pattern reference to proceed. Good luck!

Hi guys, a bit latebut here are some up-date photos,
I was really thinking of stripping all the paint of but it turnd out okay so that won't be neccery.
I used archer transfers, aicraft decals for the white lines, and some scratched decals.
I did how drop the turrer (befor the photo's wher taken) but the damage was small so that wil not take a lot of time to fix.
I did put of the grills on the engin deck when I removed the armour plates becouse of the sillyputty that I used to keep them in place when airbrushing so that will have to be replased as well
The photos are a bit light in color but thats because of the lichting
Photo time
I'll post some more when I get some more work done

It's looking outstanding! Is the green color you're using more of a Russian Armor green? Really looks good.

After almost wanting to strip of all the paint after dicovering that the primer had dryed grainy
(just goes to show alway inspect the model after doing work to it  )
I finely got going again after a friend told me to just get on with it and see woh it would come out after al the work is done, you can alway strip the paint of afterwords if it really looks crappy.
So I started doing over it with thinned Tamiya Buff followed by a wash of dark brown and a pinwash of brown and black.
Now I just have to add a nice coat of dust and start thinking of what to do with it when I'm done.

Don't let it get you down, Jan. Remember, the Syrians would just paint directly over heavy rust if they could get away with it! (Just like some privates I knew in the US Army.

)
Otherwise it looks really good. I like the fuel lines you have put on, they are very realistic. I have been having the joy of adding some to my T-62m m2005 and what a joy that is!
Keep up the good work, we want to see it done!

A question to you, you said that you seal the paint with a clear varnish.
Can you tell me which one ??
I suppose it has been applied with an AB

I missed this one up to now. Very good painting job Jan Willem. The camo is really nice and better than the boring green !
Thanks for sharing the pics.
