Hi again.
Does anybody make the sprockets to replace the ones in older kits from Shanghai Dragon and Dragon.
Or a way to change them yourself with pics please
Thanks

I think Legends had a set of sprockets with mud relief holes in one of their Abrams accessory sets. Other than that, you will have to modify them yourself. It isn't hard to do. Drill a hole at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, then cut them out to an oval shape with a hobby knife.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Gino what he is refering to is the actual sprocket. What you are refering to is the sprocket carrier, or also known as the hub for the sprockets.
Yes the Legends accessories kit LF1029 has the new style sprockets in it. I know that one for sure. I believe there is a Trumpeter Kit that you can buy that also has the new style sprockets.
However if you are trying to model a modern M1A1/A2 the newer sprockets are not necessary. The tanks coming from reset here at Stewart have both the new and older style sprockets on them.

There are replacement sprockets in Legends M1 Abrams stowage set. I used them for my Tamiya M1A2, and they look great. Lots of other usefull stuff in that set to

If you are talking about the newer, scalloped sprockets, they are available in the Tamiya M1A1/A2 kit, not Trumpeter's. As Ric says though, both types are still used. No need to change them unless you just like the look of them.

I tried to find out who made the inividual link track set that incluced the sprockets and sprocket carrier. I think it also included the road wheels but I'm not 100% sure. I thought it was made by Trumpeter, but it may have been someone else.

The Armour Track Models individual links come with an entire new sprocket that looks like a resin copy of the Italeri M1A2 kit's sprocket with square mud holes. The tracks are great, the sprockets are nothing to write home about.
