I hope you like it

It's built from the Italeri 1/72 scale kit.

I've used white glue for the glass on the headlights

The tiedowns were made from 0.3 mm leadwire which was flattened
and the holes were made with a sewing needle...

Looks really great and well detailed! I like it that all your models have identical bases, in 1:72 it must make a beautiful presentation for a collection of afv's ! Is your Matilda the new italeri kit?

Cheers

Sweet job to say the least. The work on the smoke discharges is outstanding. Well done.

Hi Sven,

Excellent work, even more so given the scale. Thanks for sharing brilliant stuff.

Models have identical bases

Thanks Greg!!!

Yes, I kind of stumbled over those bases in a local crafts shop
and all I need to do is to give them a quick wash which is
actually the same wash as I give my vehicles

The kit is the Italeri kit and I liked it very much. It was very
easy to put together and has plenty of detail..

Smoke dischargers

Thanks DJ !!!!

Those smoke dischargers were the only thing in the kit
that I was unhappy with. They were rounded on the outside
but on the inside they were flat. So I had to make the inside
facing the turret round aswell and in the process I added
some wires too...

Glad you like it !!!

Excellent work,

Thanks Al !!!

There is so much more I would like to do with it but I guess
I have to stop somewhere and concentrate on the next build
instead...

Big thanks for your comments!!!

Outstanding, Sven, bloody excellent for 1/72nd scale. Nice detail work and the lens are top notch.
Have you tried the old, but still great 1/35 kit? I have a couple of them I am working on and I hope they come out as good as yours did.

Excellent for 1/72nd scale.

Thank You Mike!!!

I'm happy that you like the lenses

Nope, I haven't tried the 1/35 scale version of this. I've just restarted
this hobby after 20 yeas of absence and I've been doing only 1/72
since the restart. However I have a faint memory of doing a Churchill
in the early 1980's...

I hope your Big Matilda turns out well.

You haven't disappointed Sven, I was waiting to see how this little beauty would turn out and you've done a great job particularly in the smaller scale. Bravo and I do hope you'll submit this one as an On Display, would be great to have it in the gallery.
