This was built early last year and is built from the Revell Merkava kit.
The figures are from Preiser and it sits in a 10 x 15 cm picture frame.
Hope you like it

Very Nice Sven. Simple but very effective.

Very nice! What did you use for the anteanna?
I've always wondered...what is they purpose of the .50 right above the main gun? (I kind of doubt a crew member actually leaves the safety of the tank to use it.)

My guess is its a spotter. Should be in sinc with the aim point of the main gun. TC can use it to ID target area for the gunner..."Watch my tracers" Gunner ID's tracer impact area, and follows up with the main gun. OR...its a nice extra gun for those peskey troop type targets. You can never have too many guns on your side in a firefight. Spoken from experience..

ps. You can find pics of it online. They are remotely fired. In the pics you can see the wires running back into the TC's hatch. Also some great pics of them in several books on the IDF.

Thanks Charles!!!
It was actually my first 1/72 kit that I built early last year and it
was that kit that got me hooked on small scale modelling

Thanks David!!!
I always have a hard time doing dios because I want both
the vehicle and the groundwork and the figures and the story
and averything else to be equally good but it's soo hard to
pull that off so lately I have concentrated on vehicles only
putting them on a simple wooden base so no attention is
pulled away from the vehicle...

Thanks Christopher!!!
I heated some sprue and stretched it for the antenna...
And the .50 is as Mathew says remotely operated so no one
has to lay flat on their stomach on the turret to operate it...

Thank You very much Martin!!!
I guess the greatest thing to hear for a 1/72 scale modeller is
when people think it's 1/35 scale...
Regards and many thanks!!!

Geez, I didn't even notice it was 1/72!!
Being a Merkava fan, I can tell you that it's awesome. The color, the shading, the figure poses. 11 in 10 possible points. The 1 point is a bonus for your excellent vision
