Heya, Folks,
I am interesting in upgrading the Tamiya AAVP7A1 to current standards with the newer suspension (amongst other things)... As I do have the Dragon MLRS kit sitting around, I was wondering if I could use these suspension elements to upgrade the suspension on the Tamiya kit...
Would this be an accurate substitution for amtracs serving in Iraq today...?
Thanks, folks!
Much Aloha,
Johnny B.

Hi Johnny
As the M270 MLRS is based on a streched Bradley chassis, I think you can use the running gear, suspension parts and tracks (providing there are enough links...) from the Dragon kit to turn the Tamiya AAVP7A1 into the RAM/RS variant...

As Frenchy says, yes, the suspension components are the same. The only thing that will still need upgrading is the track. The RAMS/RS upgrade also upgrades the track to the square block type as seen in the newer Tamiya M2A2ODS Bradley. It is also available from AFV Club in their new Bradley track set.

OOOPS I stand corrected Gino. For an unknown reason, I had fancied that the links and lenghts tracks included in DML's MLRS kit were the "new" type....I should have checked the box before answering..
