First off, its not called ARPAT, but the ACU (Army Combat Uniform). Marines use the MARPat and the Cannucks use the CADPat name for their digital patterns.

Now on to the colors....Looking at mine, it looks like a medium sand color as a base, with pixels of a gray-green color, and then a light medium green pixels on top of that. Sorry, but I have no idea what Tamiya colors would be close, I don't use Tamiya paints.

Here is a tutorial on painting the pattern, even though he calls it ARPAT as well. Also, no idea where he got the pic of the long-haired dude wearing the ACU, but he should have tan-colored desert boots on, not black boots.

Good luck.

Gino, ARPAT is a name that one can find troughout the web denoting new Army digital pattern (even on some serious websites dealing with camouflage patterns) so I figured it is the official name of the pattern. ACU is a name for the uniform not the pattern itself, or am I wrong here?

As for the pics, the source is denoted below them: www.special-warfare.net. Those are not military photos, hence the "wrong" boots.

Mario.

It is also called the ACU pattern officially by the US Army as well, not ARPat (guess it sounds too close to armpit).
