Another stunner Sven-Åke. Really sharp detailsand excellent weathering. The little bit of stowage adds just the right amount of contrast. Nice one.

Thanks Frank!!!

I believe that adding one or two things in a totally different colour
really spice things up and it becomes a bit more exciting to look
at when there's such variations...

Cheers!!!

Thanks Bill !!!

They are small so painting and detailing them is a challenge
but also very rewarding once they are done...

Regards and Thanks!!!

Sven, excellent work. Small scale might be a little more challenge, but it also means less paint. Nice work. "Q"

Me too!! I was a judge apprentice at the recent IPMS Open, and had some very interesting discussions about models and what to look for. The 2 judges I followed around, were quite experienced and gave me some great tips. Contrast was one of the things we discussed and how to make a vehicle/tank stand out. A dark vehicle on a dark base really needs something to make it stand out .. and this is something you should be aware of, especially in this scale. Also rembering the scale effect when you choose your base colour. When using filters and dark washes, details can be lost as the model is viewed between 1 and 3 feet away. It may be better to start off, slightly lighter in tone.

Check the IPMS "resultatlista" for detailing and paint/finish, considering possible points are 40/20/20/20.

PS: Congratualtions Sven-Åke on your recent success at the IPMS Open in Stockholm. Winning the 2 classes you entered, and also 2 commendations is quite an achievment! Well done and well deserved!!!

He he he!!!

Yeah you're right Matthew

And you can build more of them because they take
up less shelf space too

Contrast was one of the things we discussed

Thanks Frank!!!

I've been working in the printing and graphics business for many
years and when I created a new logo for a company my mind worked
in the same way as it does when I paint my models. It needs to have
something that draws attention to it. It might just be a simple thing
as a different color on the dot over the letter "i". Little things like that
catches the eye and creates an interest that forces the person to
get a closer look... So contrasts in both colour and light and shade
are very very important in this scale...

Regards and cheers!!!

Congratualtions on your recent success at the IPMS Open in Stockholm.

Thank you so much Frank!!!!

I was amazed myself since it was only my second competition and I was
biting my nails all weekend since I couldn't be there in person...

I hope my models inspired a lot of people in Stockholm so we can have
even more 1/72 scale models on the tables next time

Cheers!!!

I never usually spend much time with the 1/72 armor, but this year I took a much closer look. I must say the quality at this scale is amazing. The figures and details are really unbelievable.
Next could be the C4??? Im hoping to travel to Malmö, if nothing else crops up in the meantime.

Whoaaajh! Nice build - I had to check the scale again before I could believe it was actually 72 nd! I like your paintwork, it has the depth of of a much larger scale and the weathering is outstanding.

Hey Sven

Nice build. I would not say it's a 1/72 scale model. Yours looks truly realistic
Keep up the good work

Nice to see it finished Sven-Åke! Very nice work!

I still can't believe that it's that small of scale. Ranks right up there with the big boys!

I think I have a few miles more to walk before I catch up with
the big boys but for every new model I put together I learn
something new...
