But after seeing the PINK T-34 and other vehicles over in the Russian forum, I figured I offer an even more challenging paint job to anybody open for it. Located about 10 miles from my house stands this lovely Red White and Blue Tank. I think it's an M-60, but it maybe an M-48, as I never really could tell the two apart. (we didn't have to many of them on the ships I was on!)

OK, I admit I may be wrong, might not be an M-60, not my era.

Hi Dave,
It's an M60. You tell by the bow. THe M48 had a "rounded" nose.
BTW. Where is this located? North Jersey. I'll have to stop by on my way from MA to Atlantic City.

It's an M60A3.
Someone already built this exact tank and paint scheme a while back.

Located on Rt-15 in Dover NJ.
Must have missed the model Jason.
Thanks for the ID, and easy to remember difference.

Yes it was in a back issue of MMI not too long ago, apparently no-one beleived it was a real tank until the photo was put alongside the model.

As stated, it is an M60A3TTS tank. The main distinguishing features from an M60A1 RISE/Passive is the crosswind sensor post on the rear of the turret roof (looks like a short thick antenna in 2nd photo); the thermal shroud on the gun tube (makes it look thick and has some clamp details seen on various photos); and the right laser range finder blister has the little door on it (just below cupola on 1st photo). An A1 used a coincidence range finder and this blister would be open with a hotdog-shaped opening like the next to the last photo's left side blister.

I believe this is the latest attempt to identify friendly vehicles to those Air Force types who keep shooting at our own tanks.
