Cartridge, I think the Wespe is a fine choice for you to build. It really isn't difficult to get together properly. When it comes time for painting, it can get a little tricky. I had to leave the fighting compartment separate from the hull to get paint into all those wonderful nooks and crannies in the model. I also left the Gun separate to painting too. You might want to ask your brother to help you get all three subassemblies together if you paint them separately.

If you bought the kit by Tamiya, then you are in luck...

This model is a very easy one to build...

I built it recently and was very happy with the ease of building. If you have any questions about it, send me a note. I'd be happy to help out.

Later,

Here's a link to some shots of the one that I did recently -

If you mean me - I just did it in plain old - lovely - dark yellow. I thought it looked nicer that way.

Did you scrathbuild the ammo box if you built the tamiya kit? It looks like crap to me.

No, I left it alone. This was when the kit had been first released and everyone was happy to get their hands on it. I was fine with the detail - I've never modeled one before - and everything pleased me when I bought it. The only thing extra I did to it was to use Fruilmodelismo individual track links on it. That was the first time I tried using Fruil tracks too...

Alas, I'd love to share some with you if I had them I built the Wespe in my dark B.W. period (Before.Website.). At that time I rarely took photos of the models I built. When I launched my website, then I got into the photo aspect of the hobby as well.

Have you checked out Tankshack's (Tim's) link in a post or two above? Tim is a talented German AFV modeler - I bet he'd be happy to share some photos with you!
