After having my 88mm built for a few months now I decided it was time to put it to use so this is going to be its dio.
The gun is positioned on a street reduced to rubble in Germany in the closing parts of the war. It sits behind a barracade made out of rubble and is crudely camoflauged with debris waiting to take take on unsuspecting vehicles,
As any soldier knows when there is a shortage of manpower anybody will be used to fill the gap regardless of trade or regiment. That is why this gun has a mixed crew, soldiers grabbed to make a last stand. The crew consists of 3 SS troops, 2 Luftwaffe, 1 Riechswehr,
a Finnish infanteer,a signaller and a private of the Russian Liberation Army who's only wish is to die fighting rather than be taken prisioner by the russians.
I don't know if such a crew existed, it is possible. After seeing so many good 88mm dio's I just wanted to do something different.
The piece is to be set in Germany so I need something to set the scene, does anybody have an example of a streetsign and name? I would be most grateful.
I will try to get some pictures up this week as I'm hoping to finish in the next couple of days.
Many Thanks
Robbo

last month (i think) i saw someone posted a pic of his 88mm diorama. I reckon, that was simply one of the best outdoor dioramas i've seen in my short time here. The 88mm was placed on a hill, hidden behind some vegetation and small "cliff". Maybe he could post it again, or someone remember the link ?
