What was the color of the tracks of Soviet tanks fresh out of the factory?

Joe- No color, just plain steel.. The rust, mud, dirt, dust and crud came later! Cheers-

Every track I have seen so far (I'm not a specialist, I might add) was black. I believe they primed them to resist corrosion. (Mr Zaloga might be in a better position to answer your question...)
