First I most say for the most part I am a eastern front modeler so I know next to nothing on US stuff. I picked up a tamiya Greyhound that is calling to me. However, I can still not give up my love of Nazi items so I am doing it in a German capture paint job. I have the verlinden update for it and the Osprey and Squardon books. IS there anything else I need? I saw one one that had degrees marked in the inside, does any one sell decals for this? Anything big on the kit need to be changed? I am going to but in in a dio with the Germans painting of the US star.

The Tamiya kit is pretty good right out of the box. Be careful with the Verlinden update sets -- Which one do you have? Some include post-war stuff and are overly complicated in a few areas. The stowage bin lid set is a nightmare (at least for me). Don't bother with an engine kit unless you just have to have it -- it requires a lot of surgery.

About the markings inside the turret ring, they actually go 1-32 from each side with zero under the traverse and meeting at "32" beside the right turret seat. Don't bother with them unless you have a lot of reference to get it right. They are not degree markings, per se. Get Allied-Axis no. 5 if you want to see a few pics of this. AA5 is a better reference M8 for engine kits.

Putting German markings on this beautiful piece of American engineering is blasphemy.

Gday Scott
I think it is fingerprint designs that had a set of the turret interior markings you mentioned. They do look awfully fiddly though... Try searching for a thread by Barry Gaszo (bgaszo) who built a US version for the Italian front. He had these decals in place and they did look quite good...
Is one to assume that it is to be a captured vehicle from the start of the Ardennes Offensive? (14th cavalry group?)
As Bob said, it is a pretty good kit.
Cheers
