Dear All
I would like to buy spare sprue from Dragon, especially the sprue '"c" form the M1 A1 AIM from Dragon containing the jerrycans.
Do you know if it is possible to buy only this sprue ?
If it is possible, can you tell me the procedure ?
I would like to buy around 25 of these sprue.
Thanks in advance
Seb

Unfortunately, Dragon doesn't sell individual sprues. I contacted them through the Dragon Cares website a while ago and was told they would replace individual lost or broken parts, but that was all.

Which parts are you going to replicate? I don't know the layout as I don't have the kit. However, RTV is an expensive proposition. If the part is the right shape (usually flat with detail on only one side) you can get by with a clay mold.

LOL, I already tried making molds of these. You can get the can pretty good, but the handles are impossible, and will certainly need to be rebuilt after your cast has set. I would even buy these if Dragon sold them as a set...........hint hint if anyone from Dragon is reading this...........

Yup, I've done the same. The can is the easy part, but the handle has to be rebuilt afterwards.

Ah! I've actually done these in 1/25. It's very easy to do once you know the trick. Burnish Bare Metal Foil across the three handles so that you have what appears to be a solid piece. It separates from the mold very easily, and the ultra-thin "flash" disappears with the poke of a toothpick.

On a side note, the fuel cans included in AFV Club's impending Stryker kit look very nice as well .....

Do AFV Club have a site for ordering damaged parts? I tried contacting them from info found on their kit box with no luck.

While building a 1/35 Tiger I, i messed up building the Magic Tracks, and they sold me a spare set. They said it was not normal procedure, but they were very friendly, and fast in getting the tracks to me. I think the fact that I admitted that I made a mistake and was willing to purchase them made Dragon Care guys more sympathetic.
Good luck
Good luck

Dear All
The first shot with the PU resin from the Jerrycan with the 3 handles look nice.
There is some resin that need to be remove underneath the handle but no big deal
I hope to put some pictures soon. (I am at work now)
cheers
