OK, I know essentially what this is, it is a UN armoured riot response vehicle used atleast in Cyprus, however I was wondering what make is it, is there any kit of this and if not how hard would it be to scratch build. Cheers. Nick

Nick,
I believe it's the Alvis Tactica APC.
According to Jane's Recognition Guide 2002 it's in production and in service with:
Argentina, Ghana, Indonesia, Kuwait, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the UK and other countries.
Sorry, but I can't tell you who the one pictured above belongs to.
Tom

Hi Tom
thanks for that info. These particular vehicles are in service with a combined British, Argentine and Hungarian riot response force in Cyprus, I saw them on an ATC camp over there.
Konstantin, this is the best one i got:

Dear Nick
Nice to see the ATC still sends cadets out to Akrotiri! I was lucky enough to make it out there twice in the 80s - ah, salad days all gone. Back then (God I sound like an old man) it was all Saracens, Spartans, Foxes, Scorpions and Ferrets.
Rather ironic that we're sharing UN duties with the Argentines (a good thing!) and the Hungarians (also a very good thing!). Perhaps there's hope for us as a species after all.
Back on topic, the AFV sure looks interesting - I thought it was an ATS Dingo initially, although I'm not sure how much protection it offers against determined attackers.
Cheers
Karol

Hi Karol
It does seem to offer quite a lot of protection, we were throwing rocks, bridk etc. at them and also went for a ride in them and they seemed pretty thick and sturdy.
Yeah, the RMP guy that showesd us round said that sharing the 25th anniversary of the Falklands with the argentinians proves that we can all get along! Nick
