Here is the link to my album if you want to see the rest.

Epi - way cool!
How come you just didn't jump into the "My T-55 has arrived" thread with me and Sniper Steve - anyone is welcome! It was/is kind of an informal thing...
Nice job on the model - looking forward to you finishing it all off.

Yup, heated up with a butane lighter and dented with the end of a paint brush.

Very nice. What color(s) did you use for hull and turret? Also did you use just the camera flash for the picture or additional lighting?

Excellent model. I particularly like the Afghani figures. The gun mantlet fabric material looks fantastic as well? How was that done? Is it a cast part?

You got a real good looking model indeed, how was the overall building process for this new kit? Any comments?
Cheers

Love your T-55 exceptional work, especially figures What did you think of T-55. Went to local shop and they were sold out. Did you need any update kits/scratchbuiling on it?

Looks great!
Is it modeled after a certain vehicle?
Yes, it is a very nice kit for anyone interested in building it. I don't know if plastic kits get much better...

Great work Pete... I love it. Good weathering, perfect figures... I can't wait to get my hands on that Tamiya beast, it seems like a perfect kit. Some Croatian markings and voila..

Very, very nice.

I LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those clowns all like to wave around their AK's it's their "macho symbol" so you were definitely quite correct in leaving it on.

Sorry guys, I was gone for the weekend.
Let me answer all your questions.
1.) It was built straight from the box. I had no problems with the kit. Very good fit, no flash, yada yada, typical new Tamiya stuff.
2.) The gun manlet cover was painted Vallejo Khaki with a black wash, No it wasnt a resin piece.
3.) You know, right know I cant think what color I painted the kit. I just picked green that looked good. The numbers are Woodland Scenics dry tranfers laid down on clear decal paper and then placed on the model.
I hope this answered most of your questions.
OH, thanks for all your nice comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And please let me add my compliments, as well. Really impressive work, and inspires me to build a T-55, although I don't think it will turn out half a well.
