OK, I went and did it again. I ordered a TWS conversion to make a M4A2 field modified with 55 gal. drum deep wading equipment. I want to build it as a tank of the 3rd Marine Tank Battalion during the invasion of Guam. My question is, what markings did these Shermans carry? The only picture I can find of a USMC M4A2 on Guam is a frontal picture which, in my opinion, shows no markings. Does anyone have any ideas what, if any, markings the sides and rear would have carried? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Bob,
Thank you so very much for your reply, I really do appreciate it. I actually own a copy of "The Recapture of Guam" that I picked up at the Pearl Harbor gift shop back in 2000. It really is an outstanding book.
I know that Bison makes a decal set for USMC Shermans and one is for a M4A2 of the 3rd TB, but it is from the Iwo Jima invasion. From what I can tell, and this is pure guess work from the one picture in I can find, I don't think the Shermans on Guam were marked in the same fashion as those on Iwo Jima.
If anyone has any inputs I would greatly appreciate them.

I have a couple pictures that may help. I thought there would be more people responding. Email me if you want them and I'll see if I can dig up more info on specific markings.
