Hi All
Heres my finished Tamy Centaur, built for the Best Of British campaign
The dio is titled "Finishing touches"(southern England June 1944)
It shows a Royal Marine Centaur crewed by R.A.C troops in the final days before D Day getting it ready for the big day,a new jerry can rack has just been welded on and is in the prossess of being painted, when"EVERY THING STOPS FOR TEA"!!!
This is my second Dio,the base is a picture frame, with a Verlinden cobbled street section, with EACH stone hand painted

The decals are by Bison, the tanker figs are from Ultracast and are a joy to behold,I only wish my limited skills could do them justice
The boy and dog are VLS,the tea mugs were made from brass tube, with a handle soldered on,the paint cans were scratch built and the brushes were carved from a matchstick, the cammo net was a bandage dyed green with strips of tape added for the scrim.

Hope you like

Very nice, it was one of the first of the new breed of Tamiya kits I built in the 1990s. I thought it was a superb model kit and a neat little tank.

very nice and few people built this tank. i myself have one already assembled, painted but no decals yet. i'm having second thoughts on the turret's decals. and aftermarket decals are hard to get..over here.

nice composition and impressive dio. thanks for sharing.

Hi Andy,
Do you realise you've posted this twice?!
ed, I heard an easy way of applying the Tamiya Centuar turret transfers was to cut them into 20mm wide sections and apply them individually, taking care to make sure each aligns with the last, should make it a lot easier!

James - - have you tried this technique? It sounds logical and certainly would ease my hesitancy to place them on my vehicle. I fear I shall get a ball of wet decals if I apply as stated in the instructions.
