If not, another brand?
Cheers

Tamiya dosn't do a 1/48 Möbelwagen, yet. They do make the later Wibelwind. Bandai used to do a Möbelwagen which is rather hard to find, however, from what I've read it represents a very limited production or prototype armed with the quad 20mm. Regular production usually carried the single 37mm gun.

Hi Geoff

sure you do not mix up the Wirbelwind with the Ostwind?

Bandai Möbelwagen

Tamiya Wirbelwind

Ostwind (I do not know a 1/48 model)

cheers

Steffen

No Steffen, I'm not confused. The 37mm Möbelwagen I was refering to is the type now done by Tamiya in 1/35, which replaced their older Quad armed version similar to the Bandai kit. Newer Tamiya Möbelwagan

I'd like to direct you to this site also, Achtung Panzer/Möbelwagen

OK, Geoff, my fault.

I re-read your post again and you clearly speek of the Möbelwagen. I thought you were telling, that "the Wirbelwind was a prototype and the Ostwind was the most produced variant of the Wirbelwind" ... doh

I'm sorry for the confusion ...

cheers

Steffen

Just my 2 cents, but everytime I see someone refer to "Achtung Panzer" it sends shivers down my spine.

My personal take on that site is that it is grossly over-rated as a kind of prime source of information on German armour.

Now I'm not deeply interested in the Möbelwagen, but I am in the Tigers and Panthers, and I can shoot holes in the sections on those.

The biggest crime is that this site still insists that the Panther-II would have a Schmalturm with 88mm gun.

Ah well, just had to vent some steam.

My personal peeve with AchPz is that they have a section on the mythical P1000 and P1500, which are a mockery of basic physics and engineering.

Some additional info I'd forgotten about. Gaso.line do a resin conversion of the 37mm Möbelwagen designed for the Tamiya 1/48 Panzer IV J.
