I have seen crewman for the M51 wearing the WWII style US helmet but during the 1967, and 1973 wars would those crewman have used the style of helmets that US Army tankers used in Vietnam? I would like to add some figures to the pair of M51's I am building but I think the crewmen should be fitted with the more modern helmet for the time period of 1967-1973 or a little later.

Thanks Gary, I appreciate your help. I think Hornet has a set of heads with the larger helmet.

Hello
The Israeli M-51 crew's actually wore Czechoslovakian/Russian style tanker helmets as well as the American WWII style. I will post a few images later. Mrosko

Yes they did use the Russian style in 56 but I could of swore that I saw a few crews sporting them in 67, wouldn't be the first time that I had a mind fart. Hey when ya coming to visit me and Charlie? I will put you up for a weekend. Mrosko
