It is a Taiwan Forum. Don't care of the language, pictures speak everything. The 2nd photo (the photo which show all parts in box) shows the real color of the
sprues. The color of rest photos is too yellow. FYI.

I knew there was reason why I waited for this one and didn't jump right away on Trumpeters! Can't wait to get it and get started!

Nice!!! Looks really nice, i espcially like the tyres, although the tread pattern doesnt look fantastic, im sure we will see some nice resin upgrades. The details look really sharp and it look to be a joy to build, im pleased I waited! Now lets see what Dragon have up their sleeves. Slat armor, full interior, Gen 2 ACU figures to compliment---haha I wish!
Ive got several of the AFV kits in the post, so hopefully when they get here in the next few days I'll start one and get some pics of it on the net. Im getting 3 of these, can never have too many! haha.

I like it. I got the Trumpeter Stryker too. I dont regret doing the Trumpeter Stryker even though the AFVclub kit is better. The Trumpeter kit was great in that it tought me a lot about this vehicle which I knew little about before. After doing the Trumpeter kit, I am ready for AFv's Stryker. The details on AFV are clearly better.

You're absolutley right and most kits can be as good as you make them! I might actually get a Trump one and do some kitbashing and making a few of these bad boys.

I'm liking that you can put a MK-19 in the turret and the inclusion of a couple M-4s - can never have too many of those. No figures though means to the spares box they'll go. I am definitely looking forward for this one. However, did I miss the release date on this?

I agree with Jeff..... I also have the Trumpeter one, but it would be nice to build them both side by side, have one with the 50cal in the weapons stations, and the other with the grenade launcher in the weapons station.
My one complaint that I can see, and its the same complaint I have with the Trumpeter one.....why didn't they mold the steering arms separately???
The way they have molded the steering arms, neither kit can be posed with the wheels steered in one direction or another. I mean I know we can always separate them ourselves, but what about people that build OOB....I mean come on....even the crappy old Italeri LAV-25 had steerable front wheels.

I hear ya on the Mk 19 and the M4 s! I was thinking the exact same thing.
I wonder how the DML version will stack up to this.....
I like the Strykers, however I wish they were abit bigger ... say the size of the Centauro. I don't think the MGS version wil even work.

It looks like a very nice kit. I'll definitely add it to my wish list (even though I have zero storage space for kits right now.

thats a nice looking kit. in a quick cursory glance the only thing i saw wrong, was the DVE is in the wrong spot. also you cant use the 1-14 decals as they are a reconnaissance unit and had RV's not ICV's. B-23 is definately an RV bumper number.
i cant wait.
edited to add: it doesnt have the correct strut covers which are perforated

Mike, it appears on step 17 you get the choice of where to place the DVE. The strut guard issue will be a pain to deal with if the aftermarket guys do not come to the rescue. Somehow I doubt Trumpeter's update PE set will work for this kit since dimensions seem to be very different between the kits according to those who saw the AFV Club kit at AMPS.
Man, this looks like a great kit.
Hopefully, Echelon will do some decals. There are some few and far between units that spice up their Strykers. One unit from 3/2 uses the Punisher skull, and the WWP Stryker in Detail cover photo shows a Stryker with some "artwork" on the lower front hull corner I can not quite make out. Of course there are the units in country that use the 'stay back' signs that add color, but you need to do slat too.

Plus you've always got that PA NG unit with the Student Driver placard on the front hull!

Almost forgot, if you look real close at the decal sheet, you'll notice a little smoking skull decal kind of like this one...............
Id say AFV really did their homework!

I would assume at this point, all the Strykers in Iraq would have the slat armor, but did they always have it? I thought I remembered seeing some early on in OIF that didnt have slat armor, but I could be wrong.

Nope, all Strykers that deployed had the Slat Armor installed in Kuwait before entering Iraq.

Thanks Gino! I should have known you would have the answer!

PS - well, guess that means anyone who wants to use this for OIF better go stock up on strip styrene! LOL

Hopefully someone has some slat armor in the works now that there are two kits on the market. Is it going to be possible to depic these in Kuwait, without the bar armor, being loaded up previous to the armor being fitted. At what stage was the armor fitted? Straight away upon arriving in Kuwait or several days or hours before deployment to Iraq.

From what I read it looks like they leave the US without the cage. They are loaded into ships headed for Kuwait. Once in Kuwait, they are then provided with the slat armor. Of course, I have no idea how long after they arrive in Kuwait they are retrofitted with the armor. Others may know more though,

That certainly looks better than the Trumpeter kit. I also like the option of having either the Ma Deuce or the MK-19 grenade launcher.
I think, though, that I will still wait until the Dragon kit arrives. I would like to see a good review of all kits before deciding on which to buy.
Then again, I just might say, "the hell with it!" and pony up the moolah for the AFV kit
*waiting patiently for the MGS version too..................*
