that's not nice guys,
Guy just spend hours and hours , handpainting each and every mudstreak on there!
Personally I dig the joke, but you could have at least said you're making a suggestion to what Patton would have said.
And by the way, How's Iraq??
( and that's something other people think of a funny quote)
Cheer Up G-man

Iff you guy's don't know what to answer, just keep you're mouth shut then, instead to say stupid words that makes no sence at all.
To the moderators, where are you guy's, are you sleeping or what, time to give those two enfants a spanking

Everyone needs to take a step back and relax here.
It is simply a misunderstood joke. I took it as what Patton would say in his typical style, nothing more. Maybe it was lost in translation or something. It also would have been better to explain it a little.
No need to get all offended and start calling each other childish names.
Also, no need to remove the original post and pics. I for one would like to see the model.

I saw the model when it was posted and thought is was great work. I do get the joke but it would have probably been better tact to explain it.
Guy, please re-post the pics so everyone can appreciate the work.

I would like to see this model also.
Like Gino said I think we have a simple misunderstanding here. I laughed when I first read Johns comments but only because I understood the context of them.
I don't think there was any attempt to be rude here.

Well hello again then guys,
As I said before, I just want to learn all about the hobby, that's all.
And I can always appreciate a good portion of jokes, and to be honest, sometimes I do the same, but I also give my opinion.
I know very well that a modeller builds months to finish a model, and just that deserves respect, no matter the results. I believe you say I'm right about that.
I cursed in the style of Patton too, because it was the first time using good pigments instead of pastel powder. But I believe I did an acceptable job as I started my hobby almost four years ago.
No more talk, Chuck, Jeff, Steve, Mark, Gino and all others, here's my Dodge and tell me what yout think, where I can do better...
Thanks for your kind replies !
Patton's Dodge was quite dusty, sometimes :

Guy,
I honestly can not see where it could better. Believe me, it is alot better than some of what I turn out. I like the weathering very much.

It looks great. The dusty effect with te pigments is perfect. Great job on it. Patton would be proud, then he would tell his driver to get it cleaned up, in his unique way.

Great Job Guy! I'm glad you posted it again. I'm sure Patton's ride got even dirtier after a day in the field, and the picture you included is a nice touch. Your weathering on this model is excellent. Also, the open engine compartment looks good.

You did well indeed, Guy. I take it that is the Skybow/AFV kit? How did you like it? I've been looking for one for a while now but keep striking out.

I loved the pix and I know JOhn (dign25) Snyder meant the comment totally as a joke as to what Patton would have said. I personally knew his (PATTON) son who tried to mimic his famous father and his first ever words to me were "Who the hell are you!?" Glad you reposted as you did a great job of weathering. And I quite agree, if Georgie had seen it that is exactly what he would have said

Mauserman : It is the AFV kit indeed.
Pro :
1. It was a pleasure to build this one, as practically all the parts fit together perfectly.
2. Beautiful detail in the motor compartment, I adjusted some wiring to give it a more finished look.
3. Not much flash, just some pinmarks here and there needed to be filled up.
4. Fine molding of the parts.
Con :
1. Tricky decals, they break instantly ! Especially the numbers.
2. The wind screen was a hard to do job. Solution : I started glueing everything together and hand painted it by brush. No paint between the parts, no mess you know...And avoid manipulating too much.
3. No hook in the box, no chain, only a cable provided.
I hope this will do.
