Using Trumpeter's Zil 157 with Skif's BTR 152

Yep, just as it says...... I was wondering if anyone had tried using the Trum peter Zil 157 truck kit(s) in conjunction withthe Skif BTR-152 kit.
Since the Zil was the basis for the BTR series - only the later production models.

This is just a thought as I have built the Skif kit onvce already but never thought about kit bashing!

Thoughts???

Hi,

I happen to have build both kits. I don't know exactly what it is that you want to do with both kits, but kitbashing seems to me a bit useless. The undercarriage of the ZIL is better detailed than the BTR undercarriage, so you could try to put the ZIL undercarriage under the BTR but due to the shape of the BTR the improvement would be hardly visible.

Thats what I was thinking- I could also use some of the cab, steering whl, gauges, etc...
