Hi,
I've build this diorama about seven years ago,the german soldiers are from Andrea, already painted in the nineties,i couldn't find heads for the soldiers anymore otherwise there would be "a hundred soldiers" on it.

hey Ronaldo very cool looking dio!! ...I am a big fan of the "snapshot" type of dioramas with people in action. The more troops the better,I say..I know its tough to pose, build and paint that many men so I can tell a lot of work went into your scene. Very well done,my friend..

Hi Ronaldo
Wow this one is really cool. There are so many things I like about it. I really like the pose on the kid at the foot of the Lenin statue. With the basket at his feet, and his arms down by his side his body just has this hopless saddness feel to it.
Just one small question if I may, How long did this one take from sketches to being done ?
Congrats on a job well done.

Dusty???Isn't that more realistic haven't you seen photo's with German soldiers after marching 15/20 miles a day.

Yes Pedro, dust is a big problem, for already many years.
but there isn't anything i can do about it.

The biggest problem for me in Modelling is that it takes me a lot of time to know what kind of diorama i want to build, then it took me,i think ,a couple of weeks.
It's the same with this one:I had some soldiers from Andrea(bought in the nineties) and i couldn't help myself,i want to build another diorama with German soldiers,so last year,i made a mould for the figures and the equipment and made some new ones, the 15 cm Feldhaubitze was build in 2004 and painted in 2006,i started building the houses in 2005 and now in 2007 it is not finished yet.,etc, etc and i really don't know what kind of diorama i want to build.

I've made a mould of the house (Verlinden)street and the wall/bridge,so i could cast as many as i needed

Ronaldo,
Incredible! Really nice. Can't wait to see what you do with the SdKfz 7's and the 15 cm Feldhaubitzes.

That is brilliant, extremely impressive. All that detail, I can only imagine how long it took to finish all those soldiers.
Huge dioramas are awesome, they're like centerpieces.

What a small dio Ok, I'm just kidding of course. I can sympathize with having to paint all those figures. Looks good for the age of it. Gotta hate fighting the dust war Thanks for sharing. "Q"

Love your Dio. I am building one myself, early war with about 20 veh's and over 100 personal. as for the dust, I have been in the military for 18 years, and sometimes after a long march we are dustier than those guys.

Hello Brother, right now I have 30 Veh's and 75 figures, of the Veh's there are 3 horse drawn wagons, 8 motorbikes, 4 resin Veh's form Wespe and Azimut and about 20 figures form Tank. the rest of the Kits and figures are made up of Tamiya, Dragon, Tristar and Mini Art. All are sitting on my display shelfs with the rest of my models. The only thing holding me up is what unit? I was thinking of the 7th Panzer in France, but now I think I want to do Barbarossa with a Division in Guderian's army Group. When I do get going I will post or send you some pic's.
