Hi,
I am totally new to US Armor and Shermans (I was a heavy German tank builder) who "defected" to the Shermies.
I am currently doing dragon's M4A1 (76mm)w operation cobra.
I would like to know besides "ferocious III" turret F32 that was in Ardennes Belgum 44, did the other Sherman "in the mood" (which says 3rd Armor Div, France) make it to Ardennes offensive in Belgium?
I felt that the latter Sherman had nicer decals ("in the mood" feels very jazzy Duke Ellingtonian) but also wanted to depict a Sherman which took part in Ardennes.
Thanks
Music
Pls advise.

Lester,
There were actually three Shermans named "In the Mood I, II and III", and all belonged to Sgt. Lafayette Pool, the top scoring US tank Ace of WW2. Unfortunately, his career ended in Sept. 1944, when "In the Mood III" was knocked out by a hit from a Panther, resulting in Pool losing his leg. This all happened before December '44, so "In the Mood" wouldn't be correct for the time period. Hope this helps.

FYI: The name Sgt. Poole chose for his tank was based on the song "In the Mood," popularized by "big band" leader Glenn Miller and sang by the Andrew Sisters -- a very popular tune during WWII. Glenn Miller is thought to have died when his plane was accidentally bombed over the English Channel. Google it

Gday Lester
Why not try your hand at a whitewashed M4A1(76)? I know they were a part of the Ardennes Offensive, although the specifics of a 3AD tank I couldn't tell you... Many had additional evergreen foliage added for camouflage...
Cheers
