Hi there

I am searching for US camo patterns used in US stowage / back packs ruck sacks etc. I remember seeing few close up shots on M1s. Will they be same for LAVs too?

I could not find the thread now. Any help with photos for this will be appriciated.

Thanks and Have a Great Day

All Government Issue packs and gear come in dark green and woodland camo. There are many non-issue patterns and packs out there. Most are for para-military and hunters, etc. You will see mainly issue items used by the actual military since we like to be uniform and not look like a bunch of ragtag mercenaries with all sorts of mismatched gear.

ALICE Rucks come in all green, except the medium ruck pictured above, which comes in green and woodland camo.

The newer MOLLE rucks come in woodland camo only.

A few items are being issued in the Army digital ACU pattern as well.

Basically the same gear is used by all the services, so they would be the same on an M1 as they would on a LAV.

If you're doing a current timeframe USMC LAV, then some/most of the packs would be in MARPAT woodland. The older MOLLE and ALICE gear is being replaced with the ILBE system.

Good luck on your project.

Hi Miloslav

Thanks a lot for the great photos. Exactly what I was looking for

Gino,

Thanks again. The stowage what I have looks a bit different than the actual. But It will have to do for now I think.

Hi John,
This time round I am not concentrating on accuracy, This LAV was started as OOTB build for the campaign and slowly becoming to get out of hand. I will finish this build as an "Unknown" vehicle at the most

Which is the most likely to be found swinging from a present day vehicle? The woodland scheme or the green?

Currently deployeed USMC units will have a majority of MARPAT rucks, with a odd green mountain ruck/ALICE pack thrown in as well.

Ruck scaks would be OD Green but most units will throw on a 3 tone desert "ruck cover". These are very easy to break and rip so many may not have them, "lost" them, etc...
