Hi everyone,
I was reminded that i did not update on my build for some time.
For those new here , i kindly point to "my Profile", Topics started, everything with Clervaux in the headline gives you some more info about the project.
The last main update was about the finished Castle Kitchen.
Above the kitchen are two more open rooms, a knights room and a chapel.
Also an open attic to cover it.
Here is a picture of the construction phase, when i glued the newer part on top of the kitchen. Sometimes you need a little help to get it straight down :-)
Floors are incorporated at the right level
Windows are made with selfamde Decals over Clear Sheet, sandwiched between two identical windows. In this whole part of the building, every item, door, window, wall, will be seen from two sides, so a lot of extra work must be done here.
The roof (the last one) was separately build and covered
Here some pictures of the final part of the building and one overall view.
Nothing is painted, these are only primer colours.
So, the whole structure and roof is done, the complete interior is done also. I finished the two rooms and the figures going into them.
I am not showing them at this point, because i want something new to look at for those getting to see it at the autumn expo's i am going to attend.
I hope you can understand this decision.
For now, this leaves me with still three months just for the painting process and the surroundings. A few figures coming in the inner courtyard are already build, waiting for some colour. I will also put one M2 Halftrack here.
For those interested, here is my "Tour plan"
Sept. 9 , Scalemodelworld KMK Mol (B)
Sept 22/23, Euromilitaire ( not in competition because it's out of the allowed size :-( )
Nov. 03/04 Belvaux in Luxembourg
Nov 24 Euroscale near Utrecht (NL)
Hope to see you there!
Comments and critics welcome, of course.
Cheers
Claude

I can't really tell you how happy I am that I can see this beauty live not 1 time but 2 times as you go exactly to the 2 events that I never miss in a year. What I see in the pictures and all the updates you have posted is one of the most impressive things I ever seen.
See you in Mol on the KMK Scaleworld in September and the Euroscale (IPMS nats) in Nieuwegein (near Utrecht) in November... I can't wait
Brilliant job.

Hello Claude,
as already stated - since I had been the reminder - this is absolutly incredible work. At the beginning of april I had the chance to visit the actual piece in Clervaux and the only thing to say is: That matches perfectly.
I'm really thinking of visting the expo in Mol for the first time just to see Clervaux castle in 1/35 scale.

I've been waiting for this update ! And I'm just stunned by this fantastic work! The exterior looks just as great and detailed as the interior. I think I'm gonna visit one of the shows on your tour route just to see this live.

Thank you everyone for your comments and praise.
That is always a new motivaton kick to do even better.
If everyone who said that he wants to go to Mol to see the castle actually makes the trip, i think i should ask the organizer some of the money back i need to spend to go there.
Cheers

How are you going to transport that to all the shows?
Can't wait to eventually see the pictures of it once your European tour is over

Oh guys, you are putting some serious pressure on me here. All the people who wants to see it !! Uff!
I hope that i can match your expectation when you see it live.
@Rudi, i need to rent a van for it. I just need to find some people to carry it. I need to hire my son's friends i think.
@Bill In what language do you want me to post this over on Benelux. I can't speak dutch and some people (Dacala ) don't want me to write in english :-)
I have an idea! Why not in luxembourgish
Cheers

Bonjour Claude,
Firstly, congratulations on getting this mammoth diorama finally completed!
When i remember earlier threads of your W.I.P's, i was really in awe that someone had the skills and determination to get this idea "off the ground" .
It's been a pleasure to follow your W.I.P's mate, and this is going to definitely be the highlight of the forthcoming show in Mol which i won't miss for the world!!
I'm sure some us who will be going their will be able to give you a little "something" to ease the burden of travel .
Jusqu'à ziens,
Shay

Sometimes, just occassionaly, Lady Luck feels benevolent, and decides to smile on me. I just realised that on the 22nd of September, I will happen to be in Deal, which is about 16 miles from Euro Militaire.
So I will get to see this beauty in the flesh. And that is one event that I am really looking forward to.
Cheers
